Alice: A cohesively written fanfic despite its cliche use of gore and first person narration. The dialogue is true to the whimsical writing of Lewis Carroll. A good example of this is the modernised scene of the gardeners painting the roses. Similarly, the writer modernises Alice; a strong young woman standing up to the Queen of Hearts, her narrative a voice of reason in a nonsensical universe. Good use of detail in this fanfic although I would probably narrow my plot down to one event if I were to write a vignette such as this.
